ELXR Dance Company will be holding a Hip-Hop and Jazz dance workshop at Diva Den Studio.

ELXR Dance Company invites you to join us for the first event of our new season! We will be hosting two workshops for dancers 16 and up to come try out our style! As we are an adult company there may be mature elements in our music, so we recommend younger audiences are comfortable with mature content and choreography.

Curious about what we do? This is the perfect opportunity to come try out our style and see who we are! We are looking for fresh new talent to join us going into our 5th season, dancers who want to come dance with us just for the day with no strings attached are welcome as well! We will be teaching choreography and skills that are an intermediate level, we do suggest having prior dance experience .

Join us for both classes for $10 or one class for $6 at Diva Den Studio ( 11959 SW Garden Pl, Portland, OR 97223).

4:45-5:00 pm Check In

5:00-7:00 pm Jazz:
We’ll be kicking it off with a full warm up and stretch, followed by intermediate level across-the-floor turning and leaping combos, and finishing up with an uptempo jazzy number!

7:00- 8:30: Hip Hop
We will be starting with a light warm up and stretch followed by some down and dirty choreo! Please come a few minutes early so we can meet your fabulous faces and get you signed in!)

ELXR Dance Company invites you to join us at our company auditions for our fifth season! We are a volunteer-based dance company that specializes in jazz, hip hop and contemporary dance!

We are looking for dancers who are 18 and up, versatile, hard working, committed, and have a passion for dance. We will be performing at a number of different events over the season, and will also be focusing on the production of our fifth full-length showcase at the end of the season (June 2020).

6:45- 7:00 Callbacks

7:00- 8:30 Solo Auditions

*All dancers will need to prepare a solo min 60 seconds in length. Solo may be any style or combination of styles, choreographed or freestyled, show us your best! Must have music in .mp3 or .wav format downloaded and emailed to elxrdance@gmail.com by September 25th. Please include first and last name within email, no youtube or spotify etc. links, thanks.
