Auditions

ELXR Dance Company invites you to join us at our company auditions for our fifth season! We are a volunteer-based dance company that specializes in jazz, hip hop, and contemporary dance!

At ELXR we categorize our dancers into Technique or Funk companies. Technique can include anything from jazz, modern, ballet, contemporary or a fusion of the above where as Funk can include anything from hip hop, funk, jazz funk, or a fusion. We audition separately for each company to see where strengths, and interests lie, but we have many dancers who are parts of both companies if they have the interest and ability.

We are looking for dancers who are 18 and up, versatile, hard working, committed, and have a passion for dance. We will be performing at a number of different events over the season, and will also be focusing on the production of our fifth full-length showcase at the end of the season (June 2022).

All dancers will need to prepare a solo minimum 45-60 seconds in length. Solo may be any style or combination of styles, choreographed or freestyled, show us your best! Must have music in .mp3 or .wav format downloaded and emailed to elxrdance@gmail.com by Tuesday October 1st. Please entitle ELXR Dance Co Music in subject line, and include first and last name within email, no youtube or spotify etc. links.

Audition Schedule

4- 4:30 Check in, stretch & warm up

4:30- 5:45 Technique Choreography and auditions

5:45- 7:00: Funk & Hip Hop Company choreography and audition

7:00- 7:30: Callbacks

7:30- 8:30: Solo Auditions
